Abstract

Data on comb type were obtained between 1961–68 on 4318 chicks produced from pedigree matings of 201 sires and 545 dams used in a project of selection for dressing percentage. The frequencies of comb types in the original group were 0.29, 0.32, 0.15 and 0.24 for single, pea, rose and walnut, respectively. In 1968, the frequencies were 0.17, 0.41, 0.16 and 0.26.
