Abstract

We are proud to share that the International Conference on Green Methods for Separation, Purification and Nanomaterials Synthesis (GMSP&NS’18) is the first international conference organized by our Centre for Nano and Material Sciences, Jain University, Bangalore, India. In its first edition, the conference was focused on the state-of-the-art in the field of green chemistry towards addressing the emerging issues in the field of energy and environmental applications and nanomaterial synthesis. The conference had 5 keynote lectures, 14 invited talks from national and international eminent speakers and around 100 young participants, who presented their research findings through oral and poster presentations. The conference provided a multidisciplinary platform for the young researchers to learn some of the emerging concepts in the field of ionic liquids, catalysis, industrial nanotechnology, membranes, biofuels, waste management and green nanotechnology for the sustainable energy and environmental applications. Herein, we are presenting some of the selective papers highlighting the diversity of the research topics discussed in our conference
