Abstract
Single crystals of Sr2TiMnO6-δ were grown by optical floating zone technique. The single phase nature of the grown crystal was confirmed by powder X-ray diffraction studies. The permittivity of the grown crystal was about 104 at room temperature. The presence of Mn3+ and Mn4+ state resulted in the splitting of T2g mode which is evident from Raman spectrum. The mixed valence state of Mn for charge carrier hopping was determined by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy.
