Abstract

The following poems are about the hardships faced by people with mental disorders and how society does not understand or accept them. The first poem describes the difficulties in relationships because partners do not always understand their difficulties expressing things or their quirks that might drive the person away. The second poem describes how some mental health patients are better able to cope with their disability than others to be more productive in society. The last poem explains how people with disorders are treated the same as a drug addicts in a recession and how it holds you back from achieving what you know you are capable of.
