Abstract

Variations in human color vision have been the object of inquiry for many years. Recent research shows there are also striking individual variations in color vision in some species of New World monkeys. This work further reveals the nature of the mechanisms underlying the color vision variations in these monkeys and the probable mode of their inheritance.
