Abstract
The influence of the color van der Waals force in the elastic scattering of $^{208}\mathrm{Pb}$ on $^{208}\mathrm{Pb}$ at sub-barrier energies is studied. The conspicuous changes in the Mott oscillation found here are suggested as a possible experimental test.
