Abstract

The effects of NN correlations and color transparency on the final state interaction of the struck particle in electron-nucleus scattering at high momentum transfer are discussed. The results of realistic microscopic calculations show that the two mechanisms both lead to an enhancement of the nuclear transparency and correlation effects are larger up to momenta Q ∼ 5 ( GeV/ C) 2.
