Abstract

Nanocrystals of ZnS were obtained by colloidall method. Doping with Cu impurities was carried out during the synthesis. The optical absorption and photoluminescence spectra are investigated. The spectra of optical absorption and photoluminescence were investigated. The average displacement of the fundamental absorption edge determined the average nanocrystallite size of ~ 3 nm. It was shown that the green luminescence of ZnS:Cu nanocrystals is identical to the luminescence of bulk crystals and is caused by optical transitions on donor-acceptor pairs.
