Abstract

Cu(InxGa1−x)Se2 (CIGSe) colloidal nanocrystals growth were accomplished by reacting Cu, In and Ga and Se precursors. The synthesis was performed chemically under inert conditions. The CIGSe nanocrystals were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersive analysis X-ray, absorption measurement, and X-ray diffraction. The nanocrystals were deposited directly on anodically grown TiO2 nanotube film to fabricate a nano-heterojunction photovoltaic device. The experiments demonstrate that the TiO2/CIGSe all-inorganic nano-heterojunction solar cell produces some short circuit current and open circuit voltage upon illumination with standard AM 1.5 solar illumination.
