Abstract
We consider in detail the deep tectonics of the Paleoproterozoic Volgo-Don collisional orogen in the East-European Craton. Its reconstruction suggests that this fold-and thrust belt represents a slightly eroded divergent orogenic building filled mostly with juvenal metasediments and comprises well-preserved patterns of the crustal orogenic architecture which are characteristic of the archetypal Himalayan-Tibet collisional orogen which are characteristic of the archetypal Himalayan-Tibet collisional orogen rather than being explored through a number of numerical modeling on hot/ultra-hot Precambrian orogens.
