Abstract
We report the collisional-energy dependence of the fraction of the collision energy transferred to CO 2(X 1Σ + g rotation from Ar*( 3P) using crossed-molecular beams between 55 and 184 meV. A discontinuity observed at 70 meV indicates the presence of vibrational excitation.
