Abstract

Unsaturated absorption coefficients are measured using a tunable CO2 laser in pure CO2 and CO2:O2 = 1:2 and CO2:N2 = 1:2 gas mixtures at the central frequencies of the R(8), R(22), P(8), P(22), and P(36) CO2 1000–0001 transition lines under a pressure of 100 Torr in the temperature range 300–700 K. The collisional broadening coefficients of the CO2 spectral lines by O2 and N2 are obtained. The temperature dependences of these coefficients are approximated by power functions with two different exponents.
