Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of the present paper is to review literature related to gender (masculinity) and spirituality in college men, in hopes of coming to a better understanding of divergent college student outcomes. This paper organizes literature into three categories: (1) gender differences in spiritual development; (2) spirituality and gender (masculinity) of college men; and (3) spiritual development of college men of multiple identities. This paper provides a summary and synthesis and of the reviewed literature and concludes by discussing possible significance for higher education and directions for future research.
