Abstract
We record with sadness the death by suicide of Mark Rothko on February 25, 1970. We hope to report in a future issue on what was one of his last major works, a chapel commissioned by the De Menils of Houston.Peter Magill, the advertising manager of ART JOURNAL, and before that, for many years the business manager of the College Art Association, died on May 7, 1970 of cancer of the kidneys. For over thirty years he was the friend and colleague of the editor of this publication.
