Abstract

The intermediate-coupling unified model is applied to the four odd-mass thallium isotopes 205Tl, 203Tl, 201Tl and 199Tl. All the single-hole states within the shell ending at 82 and the core states up to three photons are included in the model space. The spectra, the electromagnetic transition rates and the static moments are calculated, and a trend for the variations of the parameters passing from one isotope to the next is established. A satisfactory agreement with the experimental data is obtained.
