Abstract

A generalised expression is derived for the diffraction coupling coefficients of channels in laser arrays placed in a shared cavity of planar, cylindrical, or spherical geometry. Formulas are proposed for calculations dealing with planar and cylindrical Talbot cavities. A study is made of the structure of collective modes and of the near- and far-field distributions of two-dimensional planar and cylindrical laser arrays in Talbot cavities.
