Abstract

Collective excitations in nuclear matter are considered on the basis of the Fermi-liquid model. Spectral distributions of correlation functions are found for density fluctuations, and the spin and isobaric spin densities. The existence of two branches of collective excitations in nuclear matter - density and isospin sound - is shown. The scattering of nucleons in nuclear substance accompanied by the excitation of collective vibrations is considered in the impulse approximation.
