Abstract

AbstractCollective bulk excitation propagating in the medium of a quark‐gluon plasma are studied. The quark‐gluon plasma medium is described with two different models to investigate the effect of binary collisions and shear viscosity to account for damping and non‐ideality. To find the dispersion relation the longitudinal dielectric functions of the quark‐gluon plasma are used within quantum hydrodynamics and transport equation approaches. The results were obtained numerically by finding the roots of the dispersion relations. Both models are compared with the hard thermal loop approximation as the ideal case for both models.
