Abstract
During the collective bargaining process, company campaigners should avoid emphasizing the “inevitability” of a strike. Moreover, management should not threaten the loss of strikers' jobs (which is, in fact, unlawful) or of plant closure, or create the impression that a loss of job would be the direct result of unionization. Lastly, management should not convey the impression that collective bargaining would be futile.
