Abstract

The Federal Government, the Business Council of Australia, and four tertiary institutions have recently, and very rapidly, cooperated in an innovative program to develop new undergraduate courses in computer information systems and technology. After a description of the background, of diverging and common features of approach by the four institutions, the Swinburne approach is described and its impact on the Library and Information Technology Services is analyzed in detail.
