Abstract

Iona and Peter Opies' research and writing were a significant influence on pioneer children's folklore scholars in Australia and New Zealand. Traces of the connections between all these scholars can be found in their published work and in their correspondence. We also have two interviews from Australia with the Opies which provide some insight into their thinking and development.
