Abstract
The concrete structure deciding of a Tibetan syllable is one of the fundamentals of Tibetan character collation.This paper established several standards that could judge the structure of a modern Tibetan syllable,and group those letter composition that failed to meet the standards as Tibetan Transliterating syllable.The first step was to decide whether a Tibetan character series meet the requirement of modern Tibetan syllable structure,according to the numbers and relative position of spacing and non-spacing letters in the composition.The second step was to judge whether every letter in the structure could meet the modern Tibetan orthography.In a short,the paper could judge whether a Tibetan letter composition is a modern Tibetan syllable,and if it is,the relative position of every letter could be well-decided.At last,the study selected Tibetan character series to verify the availability of the proposed algorithm.
