Abstract

Activities of an enzyme capable of digesting carbobenzoxy-glycyl-prolyl-leucyl-glycyl-proline proved to be significantly elevated in fibrotic and cirrhotic human liver tissues, as well as in experimentally induced fibrotic rat liver tissues. Hydroxyproline content was also elevated.
