Abstract
Abstract 1. 1. Autoclave soluble protein extracts from several scleractinian corals were examined to determine the collagen concentration value (CC) in each extract. 2. 2. The CC values found range from 5 to 60 depending on species. 3. 3. The CC values may reflect taxonomic relationships or structural changes in the mesoglea. 4. 4. The CC values may provide a convenient assay useful for comparative studies of the Anthozoa.
