Abstract

AbstractBackgroundThe purpose of this report was to describe an effective technique by which a fractured intranasal supernumerary tooth was pushed from the oral cavity side toward the nasal cavity.Case presentationA 6‐year‐old female with two maxillary supernumerary median impacted teeth, including an intranasal tooth, performed teeth extraction. The surgical procedure was a collaboration operation of oral and maxillofacial surgery and otorhinolaryngology. By pushing the fractured tooth in the nasal cavity from the oral cavity toward the nasal cavity, the remaining root in her maxilla could be easily removed from the nasal cavity with an endoscope.ConclusionCollaboration surgery of the intraoral and nasal approaches could achieve minimally invasive surgery for the removal of the remaining fractured root of intranasal teeth.
