Abstract

Several situations in modern working life imply that people have to cooperate in order to handle dynamic systems. The work is distributed in several respects; people work with different tasks and have different expertise, they are often geographically distributed and they work at different times or cover different time scales. The activities are often time critical and cooperation has to be efficient. The problems involved in these situations have great economical and societal impacts. Approaches to the problems require expertise in several domains.The objectives of the workshop was to identify key features of collaborative process management and to identify critical needs in the domain of collaborative process management.
