Abstract

In view of analysis of present production management information system's structure, a collaborative planning system structure was presented for steel enterprise's production and marketing. In order to solve the problem in link of production and marketing, planning and scheduling, the system includes two modules, capacity planning and order commitment. The capacity planning model is hierarchical and adjustable dynamically, and it was established based on the sales data, steel production technology constraints and equipment capacity limits to achieve a reasonable capacity allocation in the whole plan horizon. As the process of optimization is complex and difficult, the capacity planning model was decomposed into two models, and coordinated gradually by information feedback, constraints release or tight to find the feasible and optimized solution. In this process, the capacity and materials will be kept in balance all the time. According to the result of the capacity planning, the amount and date of delivery for customer orders will quickly be committed by checking the available resources, and then order commitment will be complete by this way. Due to the data transfer between two modules, this collaborative system will finish the transition from sales to production, even to purchasing smoothly, and connect the planning and scheduling closely, finally, cover the shortage in ERP and MES from the point of capacity balance.
