Abstract

Power distribution systems and electric vehicles(EVs) charging stations should be prepared to cope with demand growth of EVs in order to provide quality service. A collaborative planning strategy is presented to solve the allocation and sizing of EV charging stations as well as expansion planning of power distribution systems. First, a collaborative planning model is proposed with the objective to minimize the cost of charging stations, expansion investment on distribution systems and social cost produced by users on the way to charging station. Moreover, The service range and charging load of charging station is calculated by Voronoi diagram with charging load data of a existing typical charging station. The developed model is solved by using the adaptive genetic algorithm. Finally, a modified IEEE 33bus distribution system is employed to demonstrate the proposed method.
