Abstract
Constructing a panoramic image has been an interesting research problem. Many techniques have been proposed and even implemented to be used as tools for panoramic image generation. However, most of them assume the image acquisition process has been done beforehand, and therefore focus mainly on the image stitching process from the following perspectives, i.e., enhancing image quality, improving performance, or making the synthesis process executable on a mobile phone. Our system, on the other hand, performs not only image stitching process, but also proposes a collaborative scheme that facilitates the image acquisition process via the use of multiple mobile phones. We have implemented the proposed framework which can support multiple mobile phones, and the generated results are demonstrated.
