Abstract
In order to make the energy storage system (ESS) and the controllable load (CL) participate in the automatic generation control (AGC) in the power system, this paper presents an optimal distribution strategy based on the mesh adaptive direct search algorithm. This strategy could figure out the optimal distribution ratio of AGC instruction, according to the wind power and load predicted in advance. It could help the system achieve better performance of AGC with the participation of ESS and CL. Simulations based on Matlab/Simulink have been taken to demonstrate the effectiveness of this strategy.
