Abstract

Economy and environmental protection are two key factors in the planning of integrated energy system (IES). The existing collaborative optimal configuration method of IES considering both economy and environmental protection has a problem with a single configuration scheme and the unbalanced weight of economy and environmental protection in the configuration scheme. In this paper, a rural integrated energy system (RIES) with biogas, photovoltaic, and wind is proposed, and its collaborative optimal configuration model is constructed. In the upper-level configuration optimization model, a multi-objective optimization method based on the non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm-II(NSGA-II) to obtain the Pareto optimal solution set is used to establish two objective functions that meet the economic and environmental requirements respectively. The optimal configuration scheme set is obtained by taking the minimum sum of annual total costs as the economic objective and the minimum carbon emissions as the environmental protection objective. In the lower-level optimal operation model, based on the configuration scheme obtained from the upper level, the optimal operation cost is obtained and fed back to the upper level with the objective of minimizing the annual operation cost (including pollutant treatment cost and carbon emission cost). The simulation results showed that, compared with the two-level single objective optimization method and the weight analysis method, the proposed collaborative optimal configuration method can provide users with more diversified and refined decision-making schemes and the optimal configuration scheme with the same objective requirements.
