Abstract

In this article, we examine the overlap in research related to counseling and transformational leadership abilities. A review of current research suggests that utilizing leadership measures may provide concise options for assessing specific common factors of successful counselors. Implications for counseling research are discussed, including future trends for research related to measurement of effective counselor attributes and counselor education.
