Abstract

Food loss is a severe problem in Vietnam, especially since the covid-19 epidemic grew more serious in Vietnam at the start of 2020, generating supply chain disruptions. Food loss is becoming increasingly problematic. Shippers turn to cold-chain to minimize food loss during a pandemic, resulting in an increase in demand for cold storage and cold transport. However, no study has been conducted in Vietnam to assess the overall scenario of food loss and the cold-chain of the food supply chain. This article will discuss the state of the cold-chain in Vietnam, as well as the present state of food loss in the food chain.
