Abstract
The reaction e −+p→e −+p+ π o has been studied in the region of the first pion nucleon resonance. Four sets of data have been analysed at nominal values of the squared four-momentum transfer to the pion nucleon system, k 2, of 0.3, 0.45, 0.6 and 0.76 (GeV/ c) 2. We present results on the variation with k 2 of the multipole amplitudes M 1+, E 1+, S 1+ which contribute to the resonant partial wave and we also discuss the behaviour of E o+, S o+ and M 1− contributing to the S and P-wave backgrounds.
