Abstract

The coherent interaction of free and bound excitons in thin high-quality ZnSe layers is investigated by means of spectrally resolved as well as time-resolved degenerate four-wave mixing. In spectrally resolved data, signatures that are attributed to quantum beating occur whereas time-resolved data on the same sample exhibit effects arising from polarization interference. Additionally, for the first time interference has been observed between bound-exciton and biexciton contributions.
