Abstract
We review experimental and theoretical studies ofcoherent backscattering of near resonant radiation from anultracold atomic gas in the weak localization regime. Recentaccomplishments in high resolution spectroscopy of atomicensembles based on the coherent backscattering process arediscussed. We also propose several new experimental schemes fortime-dependent spectroscopy as applied to multiple scattering inthe regime of weak localization.
