Abstract

Cognitive intervention is a specific form of non-pharmacological intervention usedto combat cognitive dysfunction. In this chapter, behavioral and neuroimaging studies about cognitive interventions are introduced. Regarding intervention studies, the form of intervention and the effects of the interventions have been systematically sorted out. In addition, we compared the effects of different intervention approaches, which help people with different cognitive states to choose appropriate intervention programs. With the development of imaging technology, many studies have discussed the neural mechanism of cognitive intervention training and the effects of cognitive intervention from the perspective of neuroplasticity. Behavioral studies and neural mechanism studies are used to improve the understanding of cognitive interventions for the treatment of cognitive impairment.
