Abstract

Scores of cognitive complexity were derived from a version of the Role Repertory Test which was given to 20 drama students auditioning for parts in a play. The casting director for the play also rated each student on three different scales of acting ability. Correlations were made between scores of cognitive complexity and ratings of acting ability. No meaningful correlations were found.
