Abstract

Objective: Manifestations of benign partial epilepsy with centrotemporal spikes, which occur quite frequently during childhood, are confined to ages of 3 to 12 years (Matthes & Schneble, 1992). From a topographical point of view the electroencephalogram typically shows unilateral or bilateral epileptogene foci in the lower central and the parietal (rolandic) regions. As has been shown in neuropsychological literature space perception is generally assigned to the parieto-temporo-occipital region (Lurija, 1993). In some studies an impairment of the visuomotor coordination and the comprehensive information processing has been shown (Kossman et al., 1996).
