I. THE COEXTRUSION PROCESS A. Methods of Combining Melt Streams There are three basic systems for combining multiple melt streams in laminar flow to produce a multilayer film. They are combining the streams (1) in the film forming die, (2) prior to the die, or (3) after the die. Each of these systems can be used in either flat film extrusion or blown film extrusion.
