Abstract

The canted spin structure of β1-MnZn alloys of the CsCl structure containing 50 and 56 at% Mn has been studied by neutron diffraction and magnetization measurements in the temperature range 4–380 K. The antiferromagnetic component is less dependent on temperature than the ferromagnetic one. Excess Mn atoms in the 56 at% Mn alloy lead to a local disturbance in the magnetic structure.
