Abstract

The thickness dependence of the coercive field H c was examined in amorphous soft ferromagnetic films of various compositions. H c increases with decreasing thickness, the highest rate being for Co 92 Zr 7 Tb 1 films. This result is explained by the fact that this compound exhibits the largest random local anisotropy.
