Abstract
We calculate and analyze the corrections of order ..cap alpha../sub s//sup 2/ to the condensate coefficient functions /sub 0/ and /sub 0/ in the operator product expansion of the vacuum correlation function of two flavor-diagonal vector currents of quarks in the MS scheme. We find that for the quark condensate the renormalization-invariant criterion of applicability of perturbation theory to the calculation of the coefficient functions is not satisfied, in particular, in the analysis of the Phi meson.
