Abstract
A comparison between the codification in Greece and Israel. Both legal systems are influenced by foreign legal ideas. Israel legal system is closer to the common law than Greece although in both countries we find German influences. The comparison shows interesting insights about the effect of legal transplants and the developing of national legal cultures.
