Abstract

In this paper, we propose co-channel interference (CCI) cancellation strategy based on SIC (successive interference cancellation) for cooperative communication systems. The performance is evaluated in terms of BER (bit error rate) in a Rayleigh fading channel. From simulation results, it is demonstrated that the SIC with optimal ordering achieves better performance compared with other conventional interference cancellation algorithms. The results of the paper can be applied to the design and implementation of cooperative wireless communication networks.
