Abstract

Photocatalytic water splitting is a promising approach to produce clean and renewable hydrogen energy by using energy. Efficiency of photocatalytic water splitting can be improved by loading cocatalyst on the surface of the photocatalyst. We reviewed different kinds of cocatalysts applied in photocatalysis, and introduced the loading technic, coreshell structure and co-loading in detail.
