Abstract

Nasal necrosis due to long-term cocaine abuse is indicative of the severity of the individual’s symptoms and level of cocaine addiction and can be indicative of their mental condition. In order to confirm the mental state of the person with the cocaine addiction, it is worth obtaining an otolaryngology report that can determine the degree of necrosis and/or irritation in the septum, signed by an otolaryngologist. From a psychological point of view, it is important to understand what motivates or prompts a person to accept orders of this kind, and in doing so take the ultimate risk of losing their own life. People who have to resort to this kind of work do it out of desperate circumstances and financial vulnerability, which the drug traffickers take advantage of. Because of this, drug traffickers are always able to find scapegoats who are prepared to board a flight and become “walking time bombs”.
