Abstract

Cobalt one-dimensional flowers chains was synthesized through a mild hydrothermal method without any template and surfactant. Subsequently, cobalt-gold metal composition nanostructures were also prepared by using of reducing property of cobalt metal. Furthermore, the Co-Au composition sample could be retained with cobalt one-dimensional micro-wire structure except for the surface. The resulting chains superstructures were characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, high-resolution transmission electron microscopy and the thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) measurement. This method may imply a simple and inexpensive way to prepare bimetallic composites superstructures in a large scale. Furthermore, these bimetallic composites could improve their anti-oxidation properties.
