Abstract

AbstractThree‐dimensional Co3O4@SnO2@Ag core–shell nanowire arrays are prepared by the hydrothermal synthesis of Co3O4 nanowire arrays and subsequent deposition of SnO2 and Ag by radiofrequency sputtering. When used as anode materials in lithium‐ion batteries, the Co3O4@SnO2@Ag core–shell nanowire arrays show good cycling and rate performance, compared to corresponding Co3O4 arrays, Co3O4@SnO2 arrays, and Co3O4@SnO2@Ag planar electrodes. The enhanced performance can be attributed to the three‐dimensional core‐shell nanostructures and the addition of Ag, which can improves the electrical conductivity and structure stability during the charge/discharge process.
