Abstract
Chromium and potassium compounds were added to the ammonia synthesis catalyst based on cobalt molybdenum nitrides. A better developed porous structure was obtained together with the increase of the catalytic activity. In comparison to the non-promoted catalyst, the total surface area and the catalytic activity increased more than 50%. The behavior of the system is discussed in light of the double-layer model of the catalyst surface.
